| New Meg coming North!!! I couldn't wait to tell everyone. I ordered my meg today ![]() It will be a stripped one since I have BP/Wings 1st stages . Here are some questions for you meg folks. I was wondering about tiger gear and whether it is worth the extra money . What kind of tank mounting system comes standard? My unit will have HUD, DIV, ADV. Any other options I should not be without? I presently dive with the HS explorer but I don't see a benefit to an extra O2 sensor. Leon will be coming to Nanaimo for my training in June so if anyone wants to come up to train at that time we have lots of room at my house. The diving is awesome here (ask Stuart and Sarah) Lastly, what colour should I get????

| Re: New Meg coming North!!! I like the g-snaps better then the tiger gear mounts. And I'd recomend the Neoprene lungs. Have fun with it.. They make a color other then black? |

I heard neoprene are slightly easier to breath but from my neoprene drysuit days I was always fixing pin-holes. I think standard tank mounts are cam bands. G snaps are lower profile then the tiger gear. Shrinking the width by around 1 inch. G snaps are stainless while tigers are Aluminum. You can get small leaks in the neoprene. Pinholes. Aquaseal fixes it quick. And I like the profile of the neoprene better. Tiger gear mounts are great. Just thicker then the G snaps. |

| Re: New Meg coming North!!! Congrats and enjoy! I started with the standard CL- and promptly bought a set of the neoprene. THe neoprene are much smaller- I like them WAY better. THat said, I was advised tokeep a tube of aquaseal around for pinhole repairs. Cheers! Heather

I am seriously considering neoprene because of the low profile but here is my concern; you are setting up for a dive, you do an underpressure and over pressure test and discover you have a leaky CL. You test it, find a pin-hole and fix it. Now how long do I wait for aquaseal to set up properly? I certainly any solvent leeching into my CL so it had better cure completely.I started with the standard CL- and promptly bought a set of the neoprene. Heather Maybe pin-holes can be ignored for a dive or two since the meg has the ability to drain the CL unlike the KISS or dolphin. How common are pin-holes? I know my only neoprene drysuit was fine for a year or 2 before the holes started to show up everywhere.
