| RBW Member | I am a diver from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I currently own a new MEG eCCR with APECS 2.7 electronics. After completing the calibration procedure on both handsets I switched off the unit and left home to other purposes. When I got back home I switched on electronics again to continue the set up and testing process. When the secondary handset was switched on, it presented the following behaviour: I could not scroll through the MENU button. I pressed it several times but screen didn't change. The screen was not frozen since I could perceive the Oxygen reading changing in sensors 1 and 2. The sensor 3 was not beeing read since the number was always zero and there was a black background over it. The HUD was presenting the readings from sensors 1 and 2 only. I tried to switch off the unit several times but the failure appeared all times .I had to abort the dive since I am a beginner in rebreather diving and I would not like to take the risk . Does anyone had this same problem before ? Any clues on what is possibly causing this problem ? Regards to All and sorry my english. |

| Re: Secondary Handset malfunction I am pretty sure this is a rare occurence. My Meg was delivered to me (all the way to Malaysia) with a faulty primary. ISC took care of it no questions asked. Call them up. They provide excellent customer service (at least they used to). |

Buttons non responsive could be the magnet/reed switch inside the handset... Magnets can be temperamental... The black background indicates Cell 3 is being voted out, if the signal from the cell is totally dead, this would be expected. Pull cell 3 off and put it on a voltmeter to see if its totally dead, and verify it's securely seated... |

| Re: Secondary Handset malfunction try to "turn" the button which seems not to respond. "turn" it 1/4 clockwise, then try again, then try again if not. i am sure its the magnet. i've seen it again, only once. but do call ISC. just to be safe Spyros |

Cell 3 is working perfectly when using the primary handset. Problem occurs with secondary handset only. The black background indicates Cell 3 is being voted out, if the signal from the cell is totally dead, this would be expected. Pull cell 3 off and put it on a voltmeter to see if its totally dead, and verify it's securely seated... |

| Re: Secondary Handset malfunction I would disconnect and then reconnect cell #3 and try it again. Doubt it's a wiring issue at the cell as it's reading OK on the primary. Possibly a problem with the secondary computer board or a wiring issue to the secondary display. How's the HUD reading? BTW, your English is fine, better then my Portuguese that's for sure. |

Lights were matching the numbers on display.BTW, your English is fine, better then my Portuguese that's for sure. |
