| Supporting Member ![]() | frame for de-inverted tanks? Hi, I like det idea of moving my deep bailout to my back like a UTD MC90 or a RB80 and run O2 offbard or a 2L bottled to the backplate on the right side a like a suit bottle. What i don't like about the MC90 is the cambands used to attach the Rebreather and bottle to the backplate. It just looks to wobbly? I think the orginal RB80 frame looks much better and it is easier to remove the Rebreather from frame. Since I only dive in cold water (2`c - 10`c) and need much lead, so weight is not a isue. Does anyone have experience with this type of setup? where can i buy manifoils with custom length?

| Re: frame for de-inverted tanks? If you search for a post made by Cedric Verdier with the word "superMeg", you will see how he fitted a pair of alu 80's (I think) as Meg Inboards. An RBW member (Lance4545) also makes a good manifold suited for the Meg. |

What I want is to use two diluent bottles on my back that will be paired like dubbles with a manifold like the RB80. have borrowed a few pictures from Rasmus Lauritsen that he posted on another forum... ![]()

| Re: frame for de-inverted tanks? Hi, I dive my unit this way, I have 2 x s40 with BTM and they are manifold with a custom thermo manifold supplied by ISC, I then plug in my O2 via a QC6 to QC4 to feed the head. For mounting brackets I had two custom stainless mounting adaptors that are secured with the same stainless clamps used to hold on the single tank adaptor I then use stainless clamps to secure the tanks and the unit is rock solid and compact. It provides me with great bailout options and trims out fantastic. Is the way to go ![]()

| RBW Member | Re: frame for de-inverted tanks? Hi. You have been in to this post so you may remember my RB80-KISS. http://www.rebreatherworld.com/rebreather-wreck-diving/20474-bailout-when-penetrating-wrecks-5.html#post254072 I have played around quit a bit with my rig now and I love it. I will change the set up to a pair of 8,5 liter. Now I have the benefit to be able to use my counter lung case to attach my tanks to. But in your case you just have to build something like a frame of some sort. I think like suggested that a RB80-like frame should work just fine. If you are lucky you may even be able to fit you breather in an existing product like the V4Tec rig. http://www.v4tec.de/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=10&Itemid=27&lang=de What ever you go with post some pictures :) |

I have been thinking about using somethning simelar, but the only "problem" is that you can't remove the rebreather from the frame whitout disassemble the bottles. But it is a easy and cheap to make!
