| Re: Manta Counter Lungs (BMCL) You're right. It seems like a joke to charge so much for this product for allready existing custoumers. It's a lot cheaper than buying a different unit, which is the other way of getting BMCLs. Unless I'm missing things... (which is entirely possible - as I haven't seen a set in person...)It consists of a cordura type bag w/ an inner bladder - not unlike a wing... ($300), 2 x ADV shells (I assume no plunger - $210 each MSRP), 2 inner T shells, 4 LP hoses, and 2 addition valves... its making a bit more sense how they got in the ballpark, would think there is an easier way to get LP gas into the lung - i.e. porting the T.. |

My understanding of the lung is it has dual bladders, (inhale-exhale),It consists of a cordura type bag w/ an inner bladder - not unlike a wing... ($300), 2 x ADV shells (I assume no plunger - $210 each MSRP), 2 inner T shells, 4 LP hoses, and 2 addition valves... its making a bit more sense how they got in the ballpark, would think there is an easier way to get LP gas into the lung - i.e. porting the T.. as for porting the tee pieces, do able but.... would think it causes more problems then it solves, just a thought. |

If people are willing to pay that price then are they really too expensive; or are we just cheap? I think it's a little of both. I would also like to get a set but for that price I'll be sticking with the ones I got. Perhaps if they don't sell as many as they though they'll lower the price but I'm not holding my breath. It is expensive, though it is not noteable more expensive than the ones offered by GolemGear. I would also like to get a set but for that price I'll be sticking with the ones I got. | Deep Smeg | Re: Manta Counter Lungs (BMCL) So it's back to manual dil add only. I can live with that. It looks an extremely sexy piece of kit and it will be great to have my chest clear without increasing my back profile. Two questions: 1) Are the inner bags made of cordura or urethane? 2) Do the CE and EU regs require and ADV? Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Way to go ISC. Seb |

| Re: Manta Counter Lungs (BMCL) The inner bladders are urethane. EN14143 doesn't specfically call for an ADV but states that the apparatus must be able to maintain breathable volume and if an automatic device fails it requires the ablility to manually add breathable gas. An ADV is implied. So it's back to manual dil add only. I can live with that. It looks an extremely sexy piece of kit and it will be great to have my chest clear without increasing my back profile.
