Ron,

How do these (Taderian?) compare to the other cells that are being discussed in this thread?

Thanks

They work great and are the ones used in all your Easy Pass Transponders.
I added this a while back.

Paul,

Thanks for that. By the way, your link was broken on your post I landed on. However, I read the rest of the thread. I also was able to find some info on the Tadiran batteries with the correct spelling.

I read the bit about battery bounce. I still don't understand why a battery tray/holder could not be made. I mean, if a rebreather can be designed to go to depths of 600fsw, surely a failure-proof battery box could be made.

In Life Support I like Solder, No Bounce problems.

Re: Lithium battery packs for $30 each

With a properly-designed power side there is no bounce issue (that causes resets anyway) in the first place. Its not hard to avoid; indeed, its almost trivially easy if you think of it when you're designing the product in the first place.

Consider that most $50 PC power supplies survive "flicker" without resetting your computer just fine - without any sort of UPS - and that there has been little if any attempt made to actually engineer that behavior in those things at that price.

Lithium , Water And High O2. Can We Say Boom. Ninh Rechargables Are The Way To Go. And Anyone That Has More Than 80 Mv In The Loop Should Look At The Mk15, Thousands Of Hours Of Design Work Went Into This Unit, And There Is No Voltage In The Loop Other Then The Cells.

Rick, you have no idea what you are talking about. The meg has acetal sealed 1ATA boxes with screwed down lids for batteries, they are as "in the loop" as your shoe is.

Re: Lithium battery packs for $30 each

When they are pressurized from inside, where do they vent to?
