Stress Crack in Meg lid

I was wondering did they find out what caused the crack and what was the repair solution?

Yo there

The head is since before x-mas in the Innerspace facility. The Ali lid has been exchanged with a Deli lid. While testing things they discovered a faulty cable to the primary handset. The head is still at the factory presently. I do not know what the cost will be yet ........

They will charge you to replace a cracked ALUMINUM lid ?

I would have thought that most likely is a manufacturing issue, or is it easy to crack aluminum plate ?

Wrong materials is an engineering issue, even before manufacture.
That ought to be covered, even after warranty.

I'd throw in the cable for free for selling the rust bucket in the first place.

Actually the new head is Acetal Copolymer, its in the same plastic family but is less affected by the perosity problmes that delrin has. the heads have never been made of Delrin. I spoke to Steve today and the repair is done, I will be bringing the head down with me.
