| Megalodon Hardened Case Hi all, As a newbie who just bought (and got) his Meg, I wonder if anyone has special configuration / recommendations for a hardened box for his Meg, in order to protect the Apecs / SW and the rest of the stuff. (Pictures would be highly appreciate :-)) 10x, Gil |

| Re: Megalodon Hardened Case Mine travels in my Samsonite roll aboard...nothing really special. The meg is a tough cookie and so are those handsets. The regs fit in there with the CL's and the hoses no problem, even room for my wing! When diving locally it just goes in the back of the van secured with a strap. Dive safe, Celia

| Re: Megalodon Hardened Case Hi all, To clarify everyone else's posts....As a newbie who just bought (and got) his Meg, I wonder if anyone has special configuration / recommendations for a hardened box for his Meg, in order to protect the Apecs / SW and the rest of the stuff. (Pictures would be highly appreciate :-)) 10x, Gil The can is aluminum... The head is milled delrin..... The handsets - also delrin - compared to other units, are displays only... the serious electronics are inside the head. No major worries.... |

Have a nice dayClausFailures can and will happen. I think the gist of what were all trying to say is that compared to some units on the market, the meg is hardened against some degree of use and abuse. |

I dont know but InnerSpace Systems Corp paid for the parts, so think it had been a factory fail. |

| Re: Megalodon Hardened Case mine travels in the thinnest suit case i can find, to keep the weight down. the head goes in my hand luggage. it is a pretty tough device, however if you swing the handsets around on the end of the cables, and hit things with them it is possible to damage the switches inside. if you don't have a lid on the scrubber housing to replace the head it is possible to squash the open end out of shape. whilst diving, or surfing i'm not really sure.... i was picked up by a large wave, and landed on a solid rock surface. fortunately i landed on my back and the meg took the impact instead of me. result, 2 small marks on the scrubber cannister. hope you enjoy it as much as i do mine. |
