| Manifold ? Hi, Would just like some input before i start some machining in my garage. Being reasonably new to Meg's, i would like as much input as possible. I done my trainging on a Meg with a manifold, quite liked the idea. So was looking at machining my own. But would like a variation on what i had used ( Lance's Mani). But would like to split in two instead of a one piece. I was looking at one half for DIL, the other half maybe for BOV for BO. (not all eggs in one basket). Is this a good idea? Any info would be appriciated Martyn |

| Re: Manifold ? I think the manifold from Lance is a good idea. He have a very good house routing (on his pictures). I donīt use a manifold, because have no BOV, but many stage tanks. Two manifolds on the dil routin sounds not so clever to me.

| Re: Manifold ? I am now using one of Lance's manifolds to plumb offboard bailout/deco gasses to the BOV on my FFM. The Rebreather itself is run off onboard with offboard available via the manual addition/bypass valves on the counterlungs.

But if you want a one off send me a drawing (sketch) and I will run one off for you. I have the special cutters to cut the oring seats which is the hardest bit. I am off to Thailand again Monday for a couple of weeks so if you do want it you will have to wait until I get back. | Re: Manifold ? Hi, Martyn, surely I'm not the first to post this picture, this seems to me the simplest, neatest setup possible.before i start some machining in my garage Any info would be appriciated Martyn

| Re: Manifold ? I installed and took one of Lance's manifolds for its first dive today. I have the older SP MK2 1st stages so things were very crowded on the Dil first stage and there were several 90 degree adapters to keep hoses from looping up above and beside the unit. Now I have only two hoses into the first stage....the HP SPG and the LP hose to feed the manifold. The feed to the manifold goes down and feeds thru the wing and up along the back of the BP (Ford Flow style) and connects to the manifold located in front of the wing at my left shoulder. No hoses coming over the wing. From there the manifold feeds the BOV, Wing, MAV, Offboard, ADV in that order left to right if looking at the diver. I measured and had custom hoses made and everything seems to fit nicely with nothing out of place or in the way. So far it seems to work as I would have expected. John |

| Re: Manifold ? Do you leave the dil MAV without gas connected? yes, without gas connected.John Stage regs each have BC hose stowed. I can see now you hose the MAV also from the manifold when offboard is plugged in, I hadn't pondered that extra one. Anyway I keep the BC hoses on stage regs, firstly for offboard wing&spare bladder inflation without the qc plugin, separately for diluent mav. Also I use the diluent MAV for gentle O2 flush before diving, and at 6m deco, by unplugging right and plugging left.

| Re: Manifold ? yes, without gas connected. Since you are using the exhale MAV for O2 flush why don't you just plug the O2 hose in the left CL as your permanent config instead of moving it?Stage regs each have BC hose stowed. I also have BC hoses on the stages and now with this system I have a hose with male QD. I will be looking to reduce this down to a single hose with male QD that I can use to feed manifold and can also plug into any of the LP males on wing, MAV and Drysuit. Golemgear has the parts I just need to get some time with this new setup before proceeding. John |
