Any thoughts or experience you have with the unit would be appricated. Regards, Andrew You wont see them ever claim 100%, and the M1 is the highest rating they claim.. The titanium regs are a whole different issue..

![]() ![]() | Re: First stages Hi everybody, Sorry for a very beginner question but many of you seem to be using APEKS DS4. These are using APEKS dry sealed hydristatic pressure system which if I understood well, gives a higher intermediate pressure at depth. On the O2 side in a CCR context isn't there a risk for this pressure to be too strong for the solenoid ? ![]() |

They used to make the kits for em(Teflon/Kel-F seat and 2 o-rings) but have stopped. Are you sure that’s right on the Mk2’s? SMI are still using them on the Prism’s and I doubt they would be if they cant get O2 parts for them. I spoke to ScubaPro here in Australia and they confirmed a different seat but said nothing about no longer making them. Cheers Chris It may be the case that they ship as standard with Teflon type seats now. That's the only issue, as the psiton stem o-ring is generic size that can be found easily in EPDM or Viton. If it is the case then I may consider switching back them. Don't get me wrong I love the MK 20/25's(I own 7 of em) but the MK 2's will be just that bit more robust and the performance is perfect for CCR where 2,000 lites/min flow is more than enough. Cheers Seb

| Southern Monkey Current Rebreather/s: | Re: First stages My meg has just arrived with Mk2+ regs. Personally I am not concerned about O2 with the Mk2+ regs as I have been using them as stage regs anyway and know that the seat is teflon. I am curious about what will happen as the ambient pressure approaches that of the the Intermediate Pressure as the Mk2+ are unbalanced regs. Obviously the gas flow required is going to be way less than on OC and I have used Mk2+ at around 80m on OC without any problem. Does anyone know what happens? |
