| Re: Scrubber times Edd over at Cave Adventures showed me some pics of a Meg sidemount kit that one of his friends was using. It used two spheres for O2 and diluent that were secured in an extended canister. It utilized the stock breathing loop w/ ots cl's. It looked clean but not as small or as flexible as oc sidemount. I also saw a picture of FW with a homebuilt that looks a lot more streamlined but I don't know any of the details. |

| Re: Scrubber times Mike: Yea, I do tend to gravitate to the small stuff I guess. You do so much sidemounting that you have to be looking to sidemount your CCR too? No use getting a unit that won't support the type of stuff you like doing. Suggest when you get your unit you start your training sidemounting, if you can find an instruction for such. No use learning skills that aren't relevant to the type of diving you do. Also, my advice is to adapt the unit to your gear, and not the other way around if you do go sidemounting. BTW: Just received a MEG radial today and holding it next to my HH radial they both look pretty awesome. Looks like both offer good burn times. Bill I'm really interested in a CCR more for the BIG stuff, like Eagles Nest & Diepolder type dives. But part of the appeal of the Meg, I'm learning, is it's so modular. So the option to someday sidemount is there and it would not out of the question. Knowing where you go, and the nasty little restrictions you like to squeeze thru (you really need some time with a good mental health professional, you know), you have little choice but to go radial for the extra problem-solution time it can can give you. LOL - The really fun O/C sidemount stuff, I'm diving LP45's. I can't see pushing a CCR and bail out in those areas.Last edited by mmcauliffe : 24th June 2008 at 10:39. |

| Re: Scrubber times Anyone know the price of ISC Meg Radial Scrubber ? thanks Well worth the price I think but if I were a new meg purchaser I would want the radial as an upgrade instead of having 2 scrubbers. The meg radial packs way easier than others I have tried. The end cap is spring loaded and it loads from the bottom not the top so you don't have to plug the centre chamber while packing.

If you can fit through a restriction with a single 80 (BM) and a sidemounted stage..............you should be able to get a Meg through there. That should be your gauge............ ![]()

I know that Edd has some friends (not sure if they're all on here or not) that side mount Prisms in the way you describe.Brian

Brian,Brian You are probably right. I thought they were Megs but maybe he said they were looking at making a Meg adapter. Either way it is very creative to use the spheres like that. It must be expensive! Thanks for the clarification. -Jeff |
