Hi Ricky,
I just ordered a new shearwater APECS 2.7 aswell, Im also in the process of getting a new car for the wife and asked if BMW would take out all the electronics and airbags as she has not had a crash for years and does not need all those fancy ABS, aircon and stuff, Sorry if it sounds like a Piss take but stick with the apecs if you want a manual ccr just press the manual add a few times and keep the ABS breaks,

Im sure I will get bashed for it, so bring it on You MCCR lovers.

Matt,
Can you wire up the manual add to the electronics to give you a shock each time you press it and force you to dive it eCCR.....

(I'm too tight to spend money on batteries).

Hiya Dave,

now that would be a nice feature I could shock my students underwater, just show them a Que card that say now manually fly your unit at 1.00 and watch them fry.

Re: COPIS or APECS

Hi Ricky

What you need to do is have a couple of dives on a Copis to see what you think. I'm sure we can arrange that

I'm a big fan of the Copis as I don't see the need for the electronics, but everyone has their own preference. My set-up is slightly different, but I can replace any of the electronics in minutes, I have a spare Po2 display which doubles as a separate constant po2 computer.
I never need to send my head back for repairs/upgrades, I can upgrade the handsets over the internet, and worst case I have to send a handset in for repair. Well, I have a spare, so I can keep diving.
