Trolling for ideas....

Using a Meg only and if you had the following components;

12-14lb radial scrubber
Longer canister to fit the scrubber
BOV for attaching OC components
all of the remaining Meg components.

How would you do the following?

The goal is to attach 2 AL 80cu/ft tanks or steel 104's to the meg in back mount configuration and used to hold DIL.

What are your suggestions for mounting the O2 (the back would be best) needed for a 25hour duration dive.

Basically I want to have bail out gas on my back with a minimum of 80 cu/ft, be able to do a 25+ hr dive, and not have to off board O2 unless necessary.

This subject has the potential to get out of line pretty fast so please try to stay on the subject.

Thank you

I was just taking a stab at numbers I already knew about, basically I have a 7lb radial that does 10 hrs. so I doubled the math...it could be a 20lb scrubber or 25 lbs for that matter.

here is a look at the megameg, another idea would be to go to the larger
cannisters with the ISC radial scrubber in each that would give you about
16 pounds of sorb. Now using bottles bigger then 3L would be tough with that
setup, you might want to go to side-mounting your bottles, anyway for what
it is worth there it is.

all the best.

Yes,
Tom use one cl for each meg. He said the best bailout is a second meg. He have dive the unit down to 170 m, w/o any problems. The idea with the long plenum canister and two isc radials looks good for me.

Thank you

Id also like to have 25hr+ scrubber all my Dil and O2 and bail all on my back too.....

Maybe you have wider shoulders than me

Seriously, just putting twin meg on your back is big enough! If its cave why not stage? At a push I can fit 2 RAT canisters (same size as meg) on back plus at most 2x3L O2.

If having 25hr duratation Id suggest going the twin meg route and have 2 seperate units rather than one big cannister - that way even if one craps out you may survive running lean semiclosed off the other.

On a dive of this duration Id want very easy and free access to all my O2 and Dil I wouldnt want anything hard to reach

ah, the flexibility of the rEvo! :-)

it touk me exact 33 seconds to build the 'mega rEvo'
holds 4 radial scrubbers, each +/- 5lb!

and if any one would ask: give me another 30 seconds for the 'six-fold' mega mega rEvo... only it wan't go in a small cave :-)

Paul,

You're cheating, the bolt isn't long enough to screw the cover down

But having visited your factory on a number of occasions I know that it will take you a short time to fix that............

Cheers,

Dave.
