| Re: Apeks Tek 3 I'd be interested in seeing pics of a Tek3 setup valves up. Anybody has that? Hi Philippe!Best Philippe Have a look here http://www.rebreatherworld.com/pelag...ns-pics-2.html The hose with the swivel is going over the right shoulder to the BOV. Could do without the swivel but its just so nice ![]() Cheers Roger |

| Re: Apeks Tek 3 I dont know much about Apeks regs, but... dont the regulator need to be made using oxygen compatible parts, such as viton o-rings and oxygen compatible lubricants. All Apeks regulators is made of exactly the same parts, the only difference is the color of some of the plastic (green for oxygen) and that the non-oxygen regs doesn't have oxygen compatible grease in them. I would think if a company went through the expense of using o2 compatible parts they would keep the whole reg o2 clean and advertise it as such, and if they say it isnt o2 clean I would just assume that it doesnt use o2 compatible parts, right? Like i said though im not too sure about apeks regs, my shop carries sherwood, oceanic, atomic and used to carry scuba pro, and they all are pretty clear about whats o2 clean or not all in all its up to the diver though, right? Even the service kits are actually the same, since the o-rings and other "service parts" are the same you just need to clean the parts in an ultrasonic cleaner and then use oxygen compatible grease and you got a oxygen compatible reg even if it was a "normal" one before |

Im sure that you could make the regs O2 compatible, but you would need to clean them and then make sure your putting all viton o-rings in and such. I dont service Apeks regs, but i would think if the parts are green its also a material difference, such as viton vs. standard rubber orings. but if they all use the same service pack then they are probably all o2 compatible parts, if not just use parts from a service pack that is for an o2 clean reg, if they all use the same parts

The O-rings is the same, with plastic parts I mean the second stage cover, DIN-screw "stabilizer" etc... so the parts that has different colors doesn't come into contact with the oxygen at all. That is one of the many beauties of the Apeks regulators.I dont service Apeks regs, but i would think if the parts are green its also a material difference, such as viton vs. standard rubber orings. but if they all use the same service pack then they are probably all o2 compatible parts, if not just use parts from a service pack that is for an o2 clean reg, if they all use the same parts |

| Re: Apeks Tek 3 Not sure if the superficial look I gave my regs revealed everything but.... To me it looks like the ATX 50, 100, and 200 only differ by the diaphram and cover. The bodies all look the same to me. Does anyoneone know if you can swap face plates and diaphrams from an ATX 50 to a ATX 100, or 200 with no problems?
