I'd say no one really knew there was a Dive Junkie on Rebreather World until this thread! There can only be one Dive Junkie! ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: BC / wing advice for a Meg never found that to be an issue...ymmv The person who told me said it was a problem( he's a source I trust a lot), but I personally have never dove the wing myself. I'm a huge Halcyon fan and would like to think that was something they cosidered during the design phase....but then again I don't have the $300 to buy, and test one for myself if I don't like it. Maybe I can get a good deal on one 2nd hand in another year or so.

| ~~~~~ #417 ~~~~~ Current Rebreather/s: | Re: BC / wing advice for a Meg The ISC Tetradon wing is working well for me in fresh water with steel 19s, neoprene lungs, and Jets or Slipstreams. No trim weights needed. It vents without problems when I demand it to. I've tried other wings that trapped the gas. I can bias my trim angle head up or down and keep it there without any problems. It's streamlined and has plenty of lift. I'm very pleased with it. I'm also keeping the bungies as I've found them to be a good place to keep my Secondary display. ![]()

![]() ![]() | Re: BC / wing advice for a Meg Im looking for a new wing to compliment my new copis that is on its way. I havent dove it yet, but I would like to get a wing for it before the class. I was wondering if any one has used OMS's 45 lbs Larry Green wing on a meg, from what I can tell is a little longer and narrower than the standard wing. its the length that has me wondering about the wing. I would think that the longer wing would help with the tail heavy trim of the meg, but Im not sure if it would be too long for the standard meg can or if it would interfere with reaching the valves. I was also wondering about size. I think 45lbs would be enough, I dive mostly cold fresh water dives, and have alum. 19's for my meg. thanks for the help, Al

I think a 45 is plenty of lift. if you havent recieved your meg yet, maybe you could work a deal with ISC and get the Tetradon included with your COPIS.I would think that the longer wing would help with the tail heavy trim of the meg, but Im not sure if it would be too long for the standard meg can or if it would interfere with reaching the valves.
