New Handset Lens

I cut a piece of the film slightly larger then the lens, removed the lens from the handset ( DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR HANDSET LEAKS AFTER DOING THIS ) I applied the film to the lens and used a fine wood file around the edges of the lens to cut the film and bevel the edges so it wouldn't peel so easily. I used a hobby knife to cut out the holes for the screws and then reinstalled the lens. It's been nearly a year since I put the stuff on and it's still there and working great.

Order the stuff online... You can even find it on ebay.... You will have enough for you and all of your friends... I would not suggest removing your lens. There is no reason to with the headlight film. Just trim it to size and you will be fine...

The screw heads help hold the film on the lens and keep it from peeling around the edges. If you don't feel comfortable with removing the lenses then you can cut the film a little smaller then the lens and apply it that way. It's really not that difficult to remove and reinstall the lenses just tighten the screws in a criss cross pattern a little at a time until the lens has compressed the oring completely and is touching the housing. You should be able to see a dark black line all the way around the lens where the oring is contacting the lens. There should be no gaps in this black line, no lint, no hairs just a nice solid black line. I've done this on 4 handsets and haven't had a single problem.
