I use Halcyon trim weights secured with ss collars at the top of the 3L Faber.

Halcyon: MC Weighting Systems

It works great with a dry suit.

In Mexico, in a wet suit, I was still having trim issues.

I will try with 2L alu tanks this summer to see how it works out.

I use Force fins that are probably a bit too negative, I will try replacing those with more neutral fins to see how it works out in a wet suit (when the water is warm enough for that kind of exercise up here.)

Got back out this past weekend in a 3mm in salt water and I was way heavy....
On the reef in 15' I pulled the lead off and still sank, w/ an empty wing and normal loop...

Tim, if your wet suit has more than 50 dives on it then it probably has lost it's buoyancy. If it's one of the inexpensive suits then it was never 3mm to begin with (they have a 1mm variable)

Consider using a better 5mm suit, it will trim you out a bit better.

Cheers

Re: too fricken heavy....

Tried out AL19's tonite and ditched all lead..., so cheapo 3mm suit, AL plate, 8lb radial, meg, and things were alot better.... May just have to ditch the Jet's, as my knees are still quite heavy... trim works out if I do some serious arching...
