Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

Hello Everybody

I am just wondering if anyone of you, using a Meg dived with the Poseidon BESEA 50LB LIFT. As i am having the Mod1, on 27th of March and i have no idea if its possible to attach the CLs on this harness.
I would like to know because its probably the most comfortable harness i' ve ever used

Regards
Marios

Re: Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

Ive seen one up close and the only way I can see is you would need D rings (or have the standard shoulder attachement straps stitched on) at the top of the shoulder of the harness, maybe get them stitched on? Otherwise it isnt the ideal harness/wing, but I havent dived one so cant really comment.

Re: Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

Hi again
So, there is non using this probably. I bet many of you saw one of this but not be the right one for a rebreather. I know its very goog for twins and very comfortable. So, i think the best answer it be give to me by Cedric next week while i am having the course with him. Long time to wait tho. 3 1/2 months i have the unit in the wall draw without using it

Re: Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

Seeing that you haven't yet committed to the above wing, then I would encourage to change your mind.

Learn to use the Rebreather World search functions and you will find these.

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/rebre...light=Meg+Wing

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/megal...light=Meg+Wing

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/new-t...light=Meg+Wing

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/megal...light=Meg+Wing

+ many more.

Personally, I use a 40lb Oxycheq. Other options herein mentioned are possibly better. You're not likely to go wrong choosing any of the DR, halcyon, Golum, or Oxycheq options discussed in the above. ISC may even have one available? The wing and harness should;

1) have butt lifting capacity. (inverted Meg is butt heavy)
2) enable sidemounting of bailout. (front slinging is a thing of the past)
3) small as practicable (streamlining is very important AFAIC)
4) bullet proof (slight exagerration)

In any case, rather than wait for your training, do your homework, and make a choice. If you remain unsure, seek advise here in Rebreather World. This way when the time comes, your ready to jump in and start the lengthy learning process of bouyancy-trim-and Rebreather operation.

edit: also it's good form to click the little green square on the bottom left hand of someone who provides you good advise, or red blob when someone is being offensive or plain stupid.

Re: Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

I sold a couple of those at the last Boot (helping a friend with her shop).
Poseidon is very robust and reliable on the one hand, does nearly everything a little bit different than the rest of the world on the other.
The bladder has inside bungees which I think is a nice idea. I donīt like the harness on your photo, though. It is nice when you donīt travel and need cushions everywhere but really leans a bit on the non-tech-diving side.
The Poseidon backplate has no conventional holes to attach double tanks with wingnuts, but relies on special Poseidon quicksnap adapters. If you have them, its really easy and fast to mount the tanks. Donīt know if you could use those adapters on your Meg.

Re: Is Anyone Diving One Of This???

i think that is best to get your course done, then i am sure that with time you'll be able to realize what is best for you and adapt your unit accordingly.

do not worry, all will come to you like everybody else in past!

have a good course with CV.

P.S

Gilles, i'll give you the green as i agree with you...

Thanks mate. I guess you guys must be gearing up for your Dirrebreather expedition. I really wish I was joining you guys.

I'm busy filling forms , insurance, mortgage, schooling, visas, etc, the fun of international transfer.

Have a great expedition, be safe, and tell us all about it.

I totally agree, I'd look for another wing!

Add the DSS (www.deepseasupply.com) Rebreather-40 wing to that list. I got one to use with the Meg and it works perfectly with it.

ISC also do one but personally I'd take the bungee off before I got it wet Looks good other than that though.
