![]() ![]() ![]() | Best wing choice for megalodon movie can Hi All Can anyone here share their experience in choosing the correct wing for the megalodon movie can? The can is 2" shorter than the standard, and a shorter wing would be beneficial. Mounting any type of stand or foot as a solution is out of the question! Safe diving /Christian

I have an OMS singles donut (35lb), but it is too long. I'm going to try the ISC wing that was on display at DEMA. I've also thought about trying the Halcyon CCR Wing, but it seems way over priced. Let me know if you find something else that would work well. I want something in the 40lb category. Eric

A stand will allow a donut style wing. The donut contributes butt lift that makes decent trim much easier. What works for me: I dive a Meg with both a standard can and an ultra short can (made by me) that is over an inch SHORTER than a MiniMeg. I’m 6’4” and even the standard can is uncomfortable w/o a stand. The short can would be undiveable. I use a minimalist stand (again made by me) that allows me to use the same 31 lb OxyCheq donut wing with either can. When diving 4mm compressed neoprene drysuit, standard can, and Worthington 19 cf steel bottles I only require 6 lb lead at waist fresh water (10 lb salt water). No lead at all is required at the top of the rig to achieve perfectly level trim. With the short can, tank valves hang 4 to 6” below the bottom of the can- something only possible w/ a stand. I definitely could not reach them otherwise.
