I have put a D-Ring threaded onto the Meg crotch strap and use that as a scooter ring with no problems, are you threading the webbing belt through the loop? That is what I do. Cheers, Dave.

I am now clipping the bottom of the CL to the bottom of my backplate, I am sure I have seen some pictures somewere as there are more people doing that. It improved a lot (for me at least) not just the scootering but also the CL position |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CLs attachment and Scootering When you coming to visit?. Yup, we need to hookup offline. Right now, I must say I feel better diving the Med than an Alpine lake or a quarry in Eastern France. I had my share of cold water diving.I have put a D-Ring threaded onto the Meg crotch strap and use that as a scooter ring with no problems, are you threading the webbing belt through the loop? That is what I do. I'm using the crotch strap delivered with my Meg threaded as it should be with the clips for the CLs. Scootering, it pulls far forward if loose. If not it still pulls on the CLs. I'd like a solution that keeps the CLs close to my body scootering or not.Cheers, Dave. Best Philippe |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CLs attachment and Scootering hi, Ditto. I had a photo but cannot find it. Similiar to the way jo_c does it.after a few dives i removed the ISC crotch strap with the CL clips. I am now clipping the bottom of the CL to the bottom of my backplate, I am sure I have seen some pictures somewere as there are more people doing that. It improved a lot (for me at least) not just the scootering but also the CL position Advantages; 1) Simplifies rig-up (No need to secure CL's during rig up) 2) Lower profile. The CL's are directed under your arm pit. When squeezing through tight passages, the CL's are unaffected whilst your belly gets scraped. 3) Less tapping of the OPV and ADV when reel handling or whatever. These things are kept out of the way, yet easily accesible when needed. Dis-advantages; 1) ADV slightly affected but still works (I'm confident I can make it work better somehow). In general, I consider this a better way of rigging up the Meg (acknowledgements C. Verdier). Last edited by Gilles : 25th January 2008 at 03:08. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CLs attachment and Scootering No problems with site mounted stage tanks ??? On this only photo I have, my side mount bungy is too long. Has been tightened up since and works fine (on both sides at the same time).Cheers Markku ![]() If you look closely, you can see a length of caveline (since been replace by a clipped bungee) going to the bottom of my BP. This is attached to the bottom of the CL. The top CL is attached to nothing. Only the topmost velcro flap to the harness, and the loop keeps that part in place just fine.
