| Re: Mouthpiece They are wonderful for long duration dives especially when using a scooter. The bite is further back in your mouth which gets a little getting used to but it means the jaw is at rest whilst holding the DSV in place. Though I have heard warnings from some manufactures of increased Co2 retention due to higher WOB I never suffered from any affects. Fil |

| Re: Mouthpiece THe US Divers Comfo Bite works just fine on the Meg. A little work to get it on is all. As for the mouthpiece that came with the Meg... I found it to be painful (it rubbed raw spots on my gums during the first 3 hours on the unit.

| Re: Mouthpiece Quote: (Originally Posted by MikeH) I wanted to put a Seacure mouthpiece on my DSV, but after going to a shop and looking at the 3 different mouthpieces Seacure offers, I realized none of them will fit. A Secure #2 will fit on the meg dsv a treat. know of quite a few people that have them fitted. Dont work for me but then it wouldnt do for us all to be the same. Are there any of the moldable mouthpieces that fit the Meg DSV? Mike |

| Re: Mouthpiece Hi All, Fitted a SeaCure I purchased from Custom Divers a few months ago. After diving it initially - I had to remove it - due to a noticable increase in WOB. Not down to the thickness of the bite, but the size of the opening being far smaller than the original - I took out the internal insert and widened the appature with a sharp stanley knife - Now fits and breathes lovely, with a very comfy bite. Cheers all.

| Re: Mouthpiece Hated the one that came with the rig. It felt flimsy and wouldn't hold the loop secure during the dive. I found that one side of the loop would always float higher then the other and after one particularly long dive it made my gums bleed. I switched to the USD Comfo Bite and so far I like it. I don't have nearly the number of hours diving the rig as others here have but this seems to work for me.

| Re: Mouthpiece I am using a Seacure on my meg, I found the best way to fit the mouthpiece on the DSV was to use the wooden handle from a shovel and warm water (out of the tap). I warmed up the reg side of the mouthpiece and slowly worked it over the handle of shovel, this stretched it out evenly and smoothly. In the end you can't even tell it was streched and it works really well. JohnL |

| Re: Mouthpiece Hey Mike, did the same thing, got the same results and it doesn't leak underwater.hate the mouth piece that the meg comes with so I switched it to a secure that used to have on scubapro S600. When I first tried putting it on, it wouldn't fit. I looked at the holes on the secure and the one that came with the meg mouth piece and the openings were both the same size. I boiled some water and dipped the opening part in for a few seconds to loosen it up and whala, it slipped right on (with a little prodding on my part). It holds in my mouth mouth ten times better than the mouth piece that it came with. I haven't tried it underwater yet, but I don't think it will leak as it's on there pretty good. |
