| Re: Golem Radial Scrubber Interested to hear views It's beautifully made. Brian and I got ours a month or so ago and have been extremely pleased with them. So far as I can tell there is no noticeable difference in WOB.Anyone had good results from this? Perhaps you could drop me a PM with your thoughts. Looks well built... Be keen to know about WOB Thanks in advance Moray Heather

| Re: Golem Radial Scrubber I got one and I am quite happy with it. Made 10 dives on 85 met. Its ease to breathe, ease to fill, easy to handle...Only thing is don't know duration. Got information that 5 hours should be ok.Cedric said around 7 in warm water. I dive in Adriatic sea, isn't really warm. Any got different information?? |

| Re: Golem Radial Scrubber I've been using one for 8 months now. Excellent peice of kit. Better WOB than the standard axial. Takes a little more time to fill, but lasts quite a bit longer. 7 hours in warm water is safe and conservative . |

| Re: Golem Radial Scrubber I received one last August, it is well made and a gem to fill and pack, the spring system on the cover works well. As far as work of breathing I did not notice any difference from the original, there is is no noticeable breathing effort necessary. The duration is still up in the air, I have had 5 houres diving here locally off of NY with temps in the 50 to 60 degrees F. I do feel it is better to dump some unused scrubber material. So as they say the jury is still out on the duration question. |

| ~~~~~ #417 ~~~~~ Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Golem Radial Scrubber Just acquired one recently. I have a handful of deep dives to 270ffw on it plus a few three hour dives. I'm still in the process of gaining confidence in the duration so I can't speak of that. It is a fine piece of engineering. I prefer it over what I saw of the ISC Radial. The top plate is more robust in my humble opinion and to re-fit back onto the cannister is a very elegant design. Under normal ("putzing along") swimming, I didn't really notice better WOB compared to the axial (just as good though!). However, on a subsequent dive where I was following a damn torpedo (team lead) on a cave dive, I *definitely* noticed a difference compared to the axial. There was enough difference for me to say the radial is better on WOB under load. ![]()

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a ISC radial. I'm able to cram approx 8.5 lbs of 8-12 in it and I've been using it from 6-8 hours in cold water. I feel very comfortable with 6 hours and will only go to 8hrs only if I'm going to use it all weekend. No noticable change in the WOB for me. I think both scrubbers are similar so I hope this helps. | Re: Golem Radial Scrubber How much lime does the GG radial hold? I noticed that the GG radial uses a spacer similar to the one the axial has, is this correct. According to Golem's site, their radial hold 7.5 lbs of lime. I haven't actually weighed mine--but that sounds about right. The Golem radial does use a spacer in the bottom of the plenum, but it's about 1/2 the height of the spacer that goes with the ISC axial.I was lucky enough to get my hands on a ISC radial. Scott As for duration, I've run mine for 8 hours between packing thus far. I hear rumors of 10-12 hours. If only we could get some real test data... Brian
