Re: Changed Meg Setup for Cave Diving

A guy in our neck of the woods builds custom tank boots that fit on the bottom on the plenum. The boot holds an Iconel sphere below the plenum. It's a pretty sweet looking unit. He's been diving it as a sidemount with the dil in an 80cuft opposite of the unit.

After looking at it, what came to my mind was your type of setup. It looks like you have an al50 as the dil in your setup. With this long "02 boot" and a full size plenum, the meg might mate up well with an al80 height wise.

Thanks for sharing. I've always tried to be unbiased as possible but no one can argue the fact that the Meg is probably the most versatile Rebreather on the market.

Guessing that would be billy gambrel, who is currently working on a side mount meg for a friend of mine. (I get the next one!)

Re: Changed Meg Setup for Cave Diving

There is a well tested "cave setup" with two O2s and sidemounted dil. See the next issue of ADM

Yes, but nicer. I have mixed feelings about the Remora, looks flimsy to me.

Is it true that there are secrete gatherings in the woods behind the hatchery that involve dancing naked in the moonlight around the newly assembled Megs?

In response to a another post, we hold a MEG seance on a regular basis in an effort to bring forth the elusive APECS 3.0
