![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Meg Counterlung harness I am using an OMS alloy backplate and a new Dive Rite TransPlate Harness, which is just the best thing for the Meg. It makes it super simple to slip in and out of not like the usual wriggleing and writhing it used to take!! If you haven’t cut the DR Transplate straps yet, you already have a great lift strap! When I rigged my carbon fiber backplate I also used a Transplate system- love it. When you set up the shoulder straps just work from the center of the strap outward when rigging it to the backplate. It leave you w/ a super strong lift strap that is also very easy on your hand. See pics.I just received a new set of CL clips from ISC to rig it all up and they have supplied a sewn harness with the top clips offset in a Y configuration. In the centre of the Y at the top is a loop which I guess is the lifting handle, which will come in very useful, and a long 2 inch vertical strap. Any help greatly appreciated. Regards, Lance Also shown is how I attach what is indeed a crotch strap via QD. Hope this helps, Ken

![]() | Re: Meg Counterlung harness If the crotch strap slot in your Back plate is only 1" you can probably fold the 2 inch webbing, ~1/2 inch on each side, and shove it through. Yeah, That exactly what I did with my older OMS B/P and it work just fine.Tobin Cheers Al

| Closed Circuit Divers Aus Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Meg Counterlung harness I had to chew on another slice of humble pie not knowing that this was indeed a crotch strap and then making a goose of myself with my comment of the size of it.........anyhow. ![]() I have fitted and dived it and found it to be a lot better than the old system and like it. I opened the slot in my alloy backplate to accommodate the wider strap but changed the backplate to a Golem Lightweight SS (Thanks Jakub) after the alloy one started corroding and making a mess, and the new one already has the 2" slot and it threaded straight in without a problem. I have taken your advise Ken and looped the strap into a handle, it works well. Thanks ![]() Regards, Lance

This may very well have been out for ages but my existing system uses 4 small 1 inch straps and I am a bit baffled as to the correct way to rig this new harness up. Any help greatly appreciated. Regards, Lance regards chris
