As for the head issue just make sure one of the holes is unplugged and give it a good pull, that should do the job. The head fits snuggly on the can and sometimes just needs a strong pull. If this doesn't work after a couple of tries you'd better stop and show it to Rasmus though... |

Hi Mats,i got my second hand unit today and cant wait until the course with rasmus @ nortech... but i have a little problem... the head is stuck in the canister... how hard shuld it be to get it of? mats If the head has been sitting on the can for some time the orings will tend to stick...which is why you should always lube any oring slightly before fitting it.....Just a slight smear mind you!! The other reason is to stop the oring from rotating and possibly leaking. I have found if you unclip the can clips and clamp the can and tanks between your knees, rotate the head by the back handle and it should break the grip on the orings, then lift the lid off. It's a lot easier with the tanks on as it'll stop the can rotating and gives you something to hang onto. Hope it helps. Regards, Lance

The easiest is to pressurize the loop, have someone hold the canister (or hold it between your knees, and gently rotate then lift up. One thing to avoid is lifting or turning by the O2 inlet. It is really tempting, but leads to bad things. Use the super rugged handle. --p |

You can't open it to fill it so you are unable to dive without qualifications... when your cert card arrives you'll find its the perfect size for levering the lid off Only kidding... I've seen alot of people battling the Meg head, it seems pretty common. |
