![]() | Copis Hud I've been looking at the pricelist on the ISC website (dated March 2007) to check out the COPIS. The spec blurb on the pricelist states that the COPIS does not come with a HUD. Does anybody know if this is still current as I thought that a HUD was on the cards to be used on the COPIS? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Copis Hud When I asked an instructor about the COPIS and suitability for use in caves, the response was "why not, just be sure to have the HUD".... So, I'm not sure if they were referring to the 3rd party Shearwater or CCRB hud options, or from ISC... I'd expect this weekend is the time to find out if "it's ready when it's ready" from Leon @ DEMA... -Tim |

![]() | Re: Copis Hud I take it then that the photo of the handset with the HUD is the new Copis handset as the original had three seperate ppO2 readouts? |

![]() | Re: Copis Hud Looking at the picture again, I think that this handset is from standard Apecs Meg. If a handset such as this was to be used with the Copis you would loose all redundancy of cell monitoring. So I guess its back to the original question, do any of you guys know if the Copis now comes with, or will come with in the near future, a HUD? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Copis Hud Why is that? I'm guessing, when compared to say the traditional KISS handsets, each sensor had an independent cable feeding to an isolated display...The original COPIS hadset appeared to have all three sensor feeds in a single bundle, but leading to three distinct read out panels... Loose a panel, the other two continue functioning... But they share a common housing, and appear to share a common cable... This new design puts all three outputs in a single display panel. Loose the panel, and all three are gone... So the hud becomes the redundancy. |
