Re: Copis Hud

I presume the guts for the HUD are in the hanset so if you loose the handset the HUD will not work. Waiting for someone to correct me, has a price been set yet.

Re: Copis Hud

I haven't seen one yet but I would bet the COPIS 2 is just a standard apecs secondary which means the HUD and the handset are run by the same cpu in the head. The HUD will continue to operate if the handset is flooded but there is no redundancy between individual cells.

Re: Copis Hud

I agree that the handset does look like a standard apecs unit but I would have thought that to give redundancy on the cells and the HUD that it would have to be powered from a second battery pack, as the apecs HUD is.

As the exisiting system of flashes on the apecs HUD would more than likely be carried over onto the Copis, you will be able to manually apply the voting logic and decide which cell is down on either the handset or the HUD.

This system is what the Copis has been crying out for!

I have e-mailed ISC for more info on exact specs, pricing and availability and will post the details when I get a reply.
