user selectable solenoid off time

Apecs 2.5 has a user selectable solenoid off time which allows the user to control the rate at which the solenoid fires, i.e 4,5,6,7 and 8 secs. I have'nt had enough hours on the unit yet to try the different settings and would like to know what people think is best for maintaining the PO2 or do people use different settings for different dives?

Hi, i dont have 2.5 but 2.01 and i run
0.5s injection every 8 seconds when on depth and
1.0s injection every 6 seconds on ascent to compensate for the falling ppO2

Re: user selectable solenoid off time

I'm new at this as well and I chose not to worry about this for a while and use the default which I think it's 5 (but not sure). The 2.5 injection algorithm has the increasing on time until the desired PO2 is attained which seems to work pretty well unless I'm correcting manually at the same time which seems to result in a PO2 overshoot and so forth...I'm just trying to learn how to fly the damn thing manually so the solenoid doesn't need to fire. That aproach seems to work best so far.
Cheers,
Tibby
