Can any one tell me when the new 3.0 meg software will be available

I just bought a new meg whit the 2.5 software last week.
Now I am wondering if it was the right decision .
Maybe I hade to wait for the 3.0 version.

(excuse my poor English, this is not one of my best qualities)

There are rumours that it will be at DEMA, but to my knowledge they are just that. I'd love to know definitively if it is or isn't going to be ready for DEMA or thereabouts as I'm not going and need to make a decision in the next month or so on the future of my head also and don't want to be stuck in the back of a queue. I also would hate to end up making a potentially costly decision.

Apecs 3 is a new system and not an upgrade. AFAIK

I doubt there will be an upgrade path

I also think its going to be expensive, so Apecs 2.? will still be available and developed.

We'll just have to see

Ah, reminds me of the old inspiration classic 2 vision threads!!

Personally I'd keep with what you've got, and enjoy diving it until there is a def date, and even then I think Leon and the boy's may have a rush on their hands to keep up with demands. I'd hate to be put on a waiting list if one crops up with no unit at all to dive.

So far it has just been a bunch of talk around the water cooler. BUT -- the other day I was going over some events happening in November and I cam across (what I believe) to be the first confirmed showing of Apecs 3 at the coming up NACD Cave Summit:

On the bottom portion, left side, under PRESENTERS.

This is true as far as I know - 2.5 is also a new head over 2.01. I need to upgrade my solenoid, software, etc hence the reason I'm looking at the possibility of 3.0. Once I pay to have my head shipped over, the solenoid changed, etc its going to be a few dollars.

I was told flat out by some one with 1 degree of seperation from ISC that it will be on display at DEMA
