I am confused, what does a 4th cell give you that you do not already have?

If your electronics go 'pear-shaped' you are not going to continue a dive on 1 cell are you?

Years ago I fitted a 4th cell to my Inspiration and I ran a VR3 theron in tandem with one that was not 'plumbed' in.

Well after a 3 hour dive there was 2 minutes difference in deco schedules.

Hardly earth shattering.

Why not?? verify the cell with a dil flush and finish (not continue) the dive on the loop flying the unit manualy. You trust 1 cell to analise your gas on the surface so why not 1 when your elecs give up the ghost. Thats all the cell is doing, analising your gas. If it can be veifyed why cant it be trusted.

Certainly on the Inspiration - there are Y-cables available. Don't know which cells the Meg uses, but they could probably easily be made for those too.
