![]() ![]() ![]() | Certified Today! A few hours ago I completed my check-out on the Meg with Andrew Driver of Mad Dog Expeditions. The course was thorough and comprehensive, and I feel confident diving the unit. Andrew is a top notch instructor and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I purchased a Meg complete with a manifold for hose routing, a Golem BOV, ADV, and DIV, Cordura CL's, Steel 19's, an Agir wing, 2 steel Salvo backplates, and the Shadow Mounts by ISC. The BOV is excellent; I love it. The manifold makes hose routing neat, and the 2 steel plates along with the steel 19's eliminate the need for any additional weight for me ( I weigh 200 pounds and am 6 feet tall). The Shadow Mounts are very low profile and keep bottles right up against the tank, but they can be a bit tough to remove. Several divers accompanied us on our checkouts. A special thanks to my fellow student and kick ass dive buddy Steve Lombardi, who is a great diver and saved my ass more than once this course. Go Jersey Divers! I have never met such a great bunch of divers; no arrogance, no hauty protocols, these guys were great. I am very pleased that I chose this road. Thanks to all of you at Rebreather World for you exceptional advice and education over the last several months! Shawn Rohan |
