If so can someone give me a run down on how to go about it. Thanks, Lance if so the answer is a maybe... On the codura lungs its fairly easy to do a full overhaul on the vales by removing them (the proper tools help), on the neoprene ones its a much more difficult task since the valves are sealed in place with silicon.. The most common problem with the vales are them sticking, they can usually be fixed by forfcing water through the offending valve, then forcing chrystolube back into the valve.. Recently the vales on my lungs were sticking and my o2 was leaking.. I was able to fix the dil side withut taking things apart, but the o2 side required full disassembly.. On the plus side, since I was taking the o2 side apart, I stretched the spring out a bit making the button a bit harder to press but it pops out much more robustly..

Sorry for being a bit vague.....but yes, the manual addition valves. I tried to dissasemble one of them and got snagged trying to remove the outer cover. I can get the base raised slightly all around the outside of it but it seems to be retained somewhere near the centre and is springy to the point where I stopped, not wanting to force it any further. Any ideas? Regards, Lance |

Lance,The valves are actually not servicable. You need to buy new ones every year, and PM me for my... ooh, the official ISC-approved shipping address to dispose of the old valves safely to the environment. One more important thing to bring up... The Meg is also not servicable, and needs to be disposed after 2 years. Please send to the aforementioned official ISC-approved address for disposal. Thanks for your co-operation in keeping our environment clean for our future children, and their children. PS: don't forget to PM me for the aforementioned address. Please... ![]()

Any ideas? Regards, Lance Did you remove the valve from the counterlung?? If not STOP and wait for your instructor.. If you have gone this far you might as well finish.. Its a standard ds addition valve.. the top portion (stationary base and rotating section) seperate from the securing base inside the cl.. The top 2 plastic sections were not designed to be taken apart! next take off the isc logo and use a 2.5mm allen key on the metal button on top and a 4mm allen key on the stem inside.. now unscrew and pop the button off.. Clean, metal parts, change o-rings and relube.. screw back together, the install back on the counterlung..

Clean, metal parts, change o-rings and relube.. screw back together, the install back on the counterlung.. I have removed it because I found a part of the inside nut dangling around inside the counter lung. It would appear to be a baffle plate which is attached to the back of the nut. Somehow it has separated from the inner part which has the thread. I did a quick check of the logo and thought it didn't have anything behind it. DOOOH Thanks everyone for your help. ![]() Regards, Lance |
