| Learning to Kiss ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Wing recommendations Well, one OMS wing that does exist, the 60lb bungied wing works for me ![]() While I dive a Prism, a friend of mine uses one on a Meg and seems to like it. The prism comes with a doughnut wing as standard, and i found I didn't like the air movement - lots of gurgling whenever I changed position. With the bungied OMS I have tightened the top bungies more than the bottom so that I get more tail lift, and I find this trims me out nicely, and has the added benefit of the wing being tucked out of the way when deflated. Nice and neat. All the best, Ben. |

So does anyone have any experience with the oxycheq 50# doubles wing on the meg? Is it a bit of an overkill for beginner diving? Best regards Jim Last edited by Hk101gr : 2nd July 2007 at 16:13. |

| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Wing recommendations The Halcyon Explorer CCR-35 is another option. It has worked great for me and several friends, whether on dives to 430 feet or on cave dives with multiple stages. Obviously evident by this and other threads, YMMV. | PreNarked ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Oxycheq 42 lb Vertex I was using the Halcyon CCR-35 wing. I really liked how it trimmed out. For myself at 5'10" 210lbs I found it did not provide enough lift at the surface. I switched to an Oxycheq 42 lb Vertex. It is a great wing for the Meg.

That's a doubles wing, and looks kinda big. You got a picture, maybe?I've been told to get anything from 30- 45# of lift, but every recomendation except for this one was for a singles wing. And maybe it's silly, but I just can't bring myself to get any piece of gear with the big, blue "H" on it- that gets a little "political" around certain dive sites in my area! |
