![]() | Beach diving the Meg? Hi all, Does anyone beach dive (near sand) the meg? I have not done so (not sure I plan to either). I would like some feedback about sand and the double O-ring sealing system. Has anyone had the unit near sand and what was the outcome? I'm I just paranoid? Thanks Phil |

I was primarily diving with OC guys at the time so the routine was in/out/in/out for them to change tanks. No problems at all. Just clean the head o-rings when you put the rig together (as you would always ). And rinse the rig after the days diving. I wouldn't bury it in the sand, but other than that no worries for me. |

You can't put them out and don't unscrew the glass because you will not screw it again. That's all, just rince with fresh water and that's right, allways clean and grease (oxy) the Head O-ring before fix it on the can. |

Some fine sand in upper O-rings (Scrubber, Counter lungs). I did not fall down. Note sand at this beach is fine. I pulled the o-rings and cleaned them. No other issues. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Beach diving the Meg? I have only dared beach dive my Meg once, at Vet's Park actually... my entry and exit were very slow and deliberate, as a fall would plough my Meg in the sand... no worries though, and to be sure I rinsed my meg in the public shower before trudging back to the parking lot, then did a long rinse and a careful clean and grease of the head oring back home... clean as a whistle ![]() -Jesse- |

The only issue I have ever come across is people wriggling in sand when in a tight swim through can get it in the OPV and cause it to jam it in whatever position it is in. Bear in mind that you really have to try to do this and be a bit of a goose ![]()
