Hi John

Just letting you know, I have received mine.

Very impressive.

The "sand-blasted" fiinish does look a lot better than the natural shiny finish IMHO .

does it fit on any backplate? i have a zeagle bp. do you think it would fit? what is the price on that?

You will have no issues....

I have attached it to a Zeagle SS BP with no problems.

In about 3 weeks or so, I will be able to attach the Meg.

Re: New Meg Stand And Kiss Stands

The stand is very cool.

I had the whole thing rigged up for doing some deeep stuff this weekend but plans changed. We are busy installing our hydrotest plant here this weekend but ... im gonna go dive tonight ... so i had to change a bottle out ..

No problem -- with the stand on i can undo the jubilee clamps and slide the bottle right out and replace it. Cool feature and makes keeping the whole thing set up so much easier.

Thanks John.

Cheers

now if i only had a pound for ever time i was asked...........
i looking in to it, but it added so much to the cost as there isn't any one near me that can do it, one local'ish anodiser only do soft coat that is pointless for these stands and then the other problem became no one had a tank big enough to fit the stands in, so it was decided to leave that up to you lot if you so wished to have it done,
so have had powder done one mate sprayed his, but all in all they are a very high grade ali that stands salt water very well
with all the stands out there we haven't had any problems with corrosion.
kind regards john routley

Re: New Meg Stand And Kiss Stands

OK -- just did a look over on my stand to see where it is wearing since i put it into service.

On the kiss expect the braided oxygen hose to rub up against the (divers) right side of the handle. I have worn off the powder coating already giving it character! This is not a design flaw of the stand. It's the angle of the hoses and the huge shoulders I have that put the braid cable there.

Make sure when you set it up that you leave virtually no space between the Triangle part and the bottom of the scrubber even just a little bit and it will "rock". When you take the bottles off and the scrubber and have left the plate and wing on the front it might tip forward from the weight -- so be aware of this.

On the bottom D slots you will need to use BIG swivel bolt snaps on the stages. (I was lazy and did not change my stage straps just clipped a bigger one to the smaller for now.)

All in all this stand has made my KISS a unit I can kiss and not curse. When you get yours put it on and leave it on. I have not taken my wing or plate off since i set it up.

One more thing -- the whole unit WITH the stand attached fits a Pelican 1620 roll case. Take the hoses off and slide them down the side.

Heck my wife likes the stand she said today. "Wow you toss this around like a little set of doubles now, that stand has stopped your cursing at the dive site!"

So suffice that this is a solid rock hard endorsement of the Narked at 90 stand. Go order some!

Cheers
