![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | information sharing? hello guys, i consider myself a newcomer into the world of rebreathers since i got my meg last year only. i am since then a frequent visitor to the Rebreather World forum and read most of the articles that are there for us to read and learn something from them. i would really like to have an article to exchange of views as to the more technical site of things, i.e how can one change the o2 cells on the meg? what is the procedure? what is their life time, etc. The reason i am saying this is that i live in Cyprus and there is no one else with a meg in Cyprus, except two guys, Stefanos - who is in the UK at the moment , and Jonny - who is in norway i think. So, even if i want something to be done on my meg, then i have nowhere to run to. i would be really glad if the forum made something like a competition on which article or survey or study would be the best, and the winner would get something as a reward....this way there could be lots of motivation to share views and knowledge on stuff, so other users, in my case meg users, could learn a few things too. From what i realized, there are guys in here who are really into rebreathers, well equipped and knowledgeable, whereas there are others who are just able to dive with a unit and think to know a couple of things..( like myself!!!) Just a thought! what do you think? some issues might sound easy for people whereas for others, it might be like reading about rocket science! Thanks for reading. i hope you get what i mean. Cheers to you all. Happy Easter guys. Spyros

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: information sharing? There are a lot of hands on how to procedures I'd like to see covered. Changing cells on an Inspo is not bad. AP now has video of some repairs like servicing the mouthpiece/DSV. I'd like to see a thorough hands on of servicing the rest of the hose fittings, etc.. |

Can you imagine that dude? So with a new baby in the house, God knows how things will be. Do you seriously think i can drop everything and just pick up my stuff and go diving...? The reason i posted this thread was fpeople to be able to get the information without having to go into the shop, as you say. never mind. just thought that if anyone could post some data, then it would be great. something like stuart did with his calibration post. hope you get what i mean. Stuart also informed me about coming over, i hope i'll be able to join you on a dive on zenobia. you know we went to the lower deck all the way with stefanos? can't wait to do it again. Anyway, what are you up to? its been a long time. send us some update, some pics to have a look at. Take care. Spyros.

I tried to anticipate as many questions as possible for both before certification, and as a reference guide afterwards.. Without manufacturer assembly drawings I felt it was important to have the parts breakdowns so that people can properly reassemble things in the right order. The manual has been quite a success with many non ANDI instructors buying the manual for their students..
