As expected, it looks as perfect as the full-size radial scrubber. As soon as I get home tonight, I will check for fit in my (ancient old) Mini-Meg can and feed-back to Jakub.
so you want me to collect .... hmmm Please I want to try it.... I will be diving in Canada for a week in March and will be in the Dominican Republic for 10 days in April, that would test it in cold water and in warm water. What better testing could you want.... I hate to beg

Please don't beg...

All kiddings aside, if you want one, just do what I did:
  • Measure your can and lid, work out the dimensions you want the radial scrubber/spacer to be.
  • Send Jakub your CC info. Don't ask for the price.
  • Waive all your rights if things go wrong.
then Jakub might make one for you to play with... Simple!

Re: Radial Scrubber for Mini-Meg

We will have a production run as soon as possible after I get feedback from Phi.
If you are interested in one let me know, so I can estimate the size of the batch.
It might be a good idea if al of you could verify the measurements, to make sure that there aren't several diffrent sizes of the stack. Just place your existing scrubber WITH the spacer on a flat surface - table - and measure the height from the table to the top of the center opening. Ideally in milimeters, I do not do inch fractions (how can anyone ever figure out what is the next number after 17/64" )

Re: Radial Scrubber for Mini-Meg

Everything fits perfectly...

This is my dimensions (from top of table to opening) for reference...
  • Full can scrubber with spacer: 320mm
  • Mini can scrubber with spacer: 200mm
Jakub, the full can dimension is with the new spacer.

Re: Radial Scrubber for Mini-Meg

Yes, feed-backs have been given to Jakub even before DEMA.

I did trimix dives with it, as well as some stress tests trying to overbreath it. Nothing scientific like an ANSTI machine, but similar dives to all other units I used...

Also, it was interesting to find that I could use the mini-radial scrubber inside the full Meg can as well by stacking the spacers on the bottom. However, I only did shallow dives with that configuration.

Not sure what Jakub's plan / schedule to produce more...

Re: Radial Scrubber for Mini-Meg

Am curious about that, too, as both the large and small scrubbers are said to be available for the Hammerhead CCR according to the ADM article by Kevin and Jakub (judging by there respective capacities I assume they're the ones).

Wish there was something in between, say around 6 lbs, a normal size that will just outperform the normal Inspo and Meg scrubbers. Would be a good compromise between duration for diving and size for traveling.

On the small one testing is really needed I believe, as Pete Readey did just that in Canada before all the NAVY testing started. He had a small radial for the PRISM, about 2/3 or so the size of the original 5.4 lbs basket. According to Pete, it did quite well in warm water, but failed completely in cold water. I believe Jakub had that scrubber on his Hammerheaded PRISM and it worked for him in FL.

What temps are you diving in, Phi?

It was easier to test in readily-available yet relatively warm water unless I throw LOTS of ice in my pool...

Temperature on bottom (72-92m range) was ranging from 20-23C / 68-73F, on deco was varying between 25-29C/77-85F depending on depth of the stops.

FWIW, it has relatively the same amount of sorb as the Evolution.

How long roughly were you getting out of the radial scrubber?
