![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mk 15.5 Cooper Hoses Well - made the jump and got the Cooper hoses for the 15.5 - pretty much sums it up and the avatar is the colour of all you other guys out there that want some I ordered the 22 inch hoses, I have an original Mk mouthpiece and they were a direct fit on this end - just a smige of grease to get the hose over the inhale side mushroom valve basket. Once on I put some rubber tape around the outside so the the hose clamp wouldn't cut in at all. The hoses slide on far enough so that the first metal loop sits right behind the valve basket - so there is no chance this will move - (other mouthpieces will have a different set up here but this is what I've got) On the centre section end the spigots are smaller then the ID of the hoses - I considered making up some adaptors but have a look at the photos and you can see that if you use a wide hose clamp and some more rubber tape the hoses clamp down really nicely with no "crimping" at all. If you feel carfully it is clear that the lip on the end of the spigot is proud of the hose clamp - so I am confident that the hoses are secure. I pulled and twisted them pretty hard and they didn't come off - actually I pulled and twisted a hell of a lot more than you could do UW with out the mouthpiece comming out. Dived them on the W/E to 50m - have to say that the WOB is definatly lower than the old ones. The inside of the cooper hoses is quite smooth - not perfectly but certainly not corroguated . They moved well and I didnt feel any resistance up or down - left or right. I need to dive them a bit more but I may put some ring weights in the centre as they did appear a bit more "floaty" but far from being anoying. All in all I'm very pleased. All the Best Steve L |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mk 15.5 Cooper Hoses For $100 USD for a pair, that's really inexpensive.....in fact, that is cheaper then the $300 from AP.... I wonder if they make them with smooth rubber ends that will fit on the AP DSV just like AP's factory black rubber hoses do......I have never taken the4 hose ends off on my Inspo but I think it is a taper system that pinches down on the end, and the collar locks it all together.... Would be nice to have a set of Coopers if they fit like original equipment.... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mk 15.5 Cooper Hoses Hi So far I like my SMI DSV (the one on the PRISM Topaz) the best and it fits my Cooper hoses perfectly. I have otherwise tried the Inspiration, Jetsam, Optima, and the original Mark 15 mouthpiece.I'm thinking of doing the same, but I may need a new DSV as well for the 15.5. Any thoughts on good ones?
