Rgs, Niels Yes, and not only that, it only turn on when PP02 rises and auto-off's itself after PP02 drops and a time delay passes as follows: (1): ANY ONE SENSOR sees above 0.4 PPO2 the unit turn on. (2): ALL sensors see below 0.4 and it turns off *after 6 minutes* (3): If during that 6 minute time ANY ONE sensor reads above 0.4 the 6 minute period cancels and it stays on. It's about idiot proof. Change the battery Christmas Day and forget about it for a year. Far lower chance of a failure with it than the fiddley needles on the analog meters breaking after being dropped. YES I know to protect them.. I've dived them for years, removed them and stored them in padded boxes, snapped them to the D ring like they were the crown jewels, and all of that. With that said I have a BOX of broken meters, some of which went bad after no apparent sort of impact damage. The direct reading secondary of the Mark-15 is one of it's BEST features. Reading that *simple* voltage data with a digital voltmeter rather than an analog one takes it to a new level of reliability. The Mark-16' have used digital primary displays for years with excellent results (the Navy not being satisfied with analog reliability either). The Colkan one is superior as it allows all three cells to be seen at once, rather than auto-scrolling thru the cells in a set time sequence as does the original Mark-16 secondary. Nobody in their right mind would think an analog needle movement is superior to the digitals. If a particular diver does believe that analog is better, remember after you break your first secondary (as you change your mind and order a digital one) that you read it here first... Dave (sitting aboard EXPLORER with a loaded to dive Mark-15 and a cancelled weekend due to the sea state. High winds prevail. The best part of the weekend was having dinner with my friend and our fellow Rebreather World member Jens Kallmeyer, playing with Mark-15, his midified AKA-60, and enjoying his new design homebuilt... nice work Jens!)
