![]() ![]() ![]() | Laguna Research Electronics These are by far the most robust electronics that can be installed on a MK-15. I have been using the guts in the original Mk housings for 2.5 years. Now I have converted to the entire new suite and it works flawlessly. The new sensor tree is built like a "brick-house". Robin |

![]() ![]() | Re: Laguna Research Electronics Its a tri-colour LED Green, red and blue. Very basically green and its on your set point, slow flashing red and your off your set point a bit , very fast flashing set point and your outside the safe bounderies either high or low. The green Led flashes a sequence to let you know what setpoint your on (0.7, 1.0 or 1.3). An option is to have a blue led flash (along with an audio chime) every 5min to remind you to check your PP02 either on your Primary or secondary. This is one of the smallest HUD I've used and what is really great about it is that its magnetic so it seperates from its base and you can mount it anywere. I use a Drager Panorama FFM for work and I have a very small button magnet on the inside of the face plate. The HUD sticks to it through the face plate ensuring I have visual of it no matter what I'm doing. I wouldnt have that if it was mounted on the DSV with out it being on a stupidly long stalk. When I take the mask off I just pull it off the face plate and stick onto the magnetic base on my DSV for safe keeping. A truly original piece of design that Dave and Wayne at Laguna should be congratulated for. The electronics have got really tight with each update I have had over the past year since I changed from the old style electronics. Very good control on setpoint and a friend of mine had it in the Antarctic at -1.8 degrees celcius (water temp) and it worked great. Another first is a diluent solenoid. What will interest many Rebreather users is that this is a modular system. You take from it what you want and can put it on many different RB's, easily convert a Dolphin or Sport Kiss to fully closed electronic CCR!. ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Laguna Research Electronics It looks like a very solid piece of equipment, I was very impressed after listening to Dave and Wayne discuss their system. Also heard some real-world testimonials from divers doing expedition style diving - seems incredibly robust. Thanks Robin for setting up the get together - how is the new Laguna Research system working for you? Have you had it in the water yet? Oh, and, yeah - the HUD is freaking sweet!

| Dr Harry Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Laguna Research Electronics Yes it's true, I have changed to the Colkan 15.5 and very happy with it until it died a few days ago. The electronics are on their way back for a stay in hospital ![]() Anyway I blew the cobwebs off the KISS on the weekend and did some 110m cave dives...why did I change?? Must say while the 15.5 was working it was awesome to dive. Certainly did the job in the Pearse Resurgence recently.Anyway I answered my own questions on the Laguna website about the batteries. Very interesting setup. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Laguna Research Electronics Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes...I've been diving. Anyway, I think your question was answered. The one thing I'll add is that I did not use to be a big fan of HUD's. Felt they were too distracting. What is really cool about his one is the ability to readjust the cylinder that holds the LED. That way you can make it point directly at you in muddy water, or defuse it by turning it away. For me I dive it in the green...if it is anything else I'll be looking at the P02 display. With that said, though it still does all that trickking 3 color blinking code that some of you HUD people like to see. I'll post some more pictures of the LP hose connections of the CCM Robin |

![]() ![]() | Re: Laguna Research Electronics A bit off topic, but after looking at the excellent photos of the pneumatics on your MK15 system, I'd really like to hard-mount my regulators to get rid of the flexible tubing and o-ring "rubber bands" on my rig. Does anyone know a possible source where I might find the brackets? Most everything else I need is standard Swagelok I think. I could probably have my machinist make up a couple of these if needed but I'd much prefer to buy them if available. Anyone have suggestions? Lee |
