Re: New Colkan HUD

Steve, you want to share the tale of how Colin was convinced to forget that red bad, green good scheme?

Re: New Colkan HUD

OK guys its now been wet tested - only two things to say - N I C E - get one NOW

Underwater I found that the LEDs were infact clearer than in the air - I have mounted it opposite to the way it is usually mounted ie the LEDs are in a different order than if they were on you left arm - but I dont think it makes any difference just a matter of getting used to it - easy to differentiate the difference between the colours anyway, and really as long as no red lights .......... it's all good!!

Nice to have a "spare hand" to control unwieldly scooters that go in the wrong direction too - as Paul G can attest.

The dive was a pleasant 48m with no current to speak of so ascent was no big deal but in a gear loaded situation (ie porthole in both hands) and trying to hang on to the line..... it will be a nice functional add on that makes the dive just that little bit safer.

Direct plug and play with the original.

Just nice to have an uncluttered arm - and a blessing when you get out of the kit on the boat - how many times have you got out of thr harness and forgotton about the primary ??? yes I know we've all done it.......

Colin has finished the first batch - so give him a call if you want one.

Steve L

Re: New Colkan HUD

Santa (The postman) drop off my Colkan HUD today. Some photos since the mk15.x forum was a little quite past 2 weeks.
