We are a custom fabricator and we manufacture to customer specifications. If you do not find a suitable ready made product, Prentex would like to consult with you for a vessel to be designed to your specific needs. Prentex can do all ASME design and shop drawings but we do not do process design. We would need from you a sketch or description of your vessel orientation (Horizontal, Vertical or Spherical), openings (size and connection - Flanged, NPT or other) any attachments, material (assumed stainless steel for marine environment but you would need to select specific material), pressure (206 bar) and temperature (high and low). ![]() | Re: Spheres STILL LOOKING FOR SPHERES? HERE IS YOUR CHANCE.... I have listed my MK15 on Ebay with two sets of spheres and a starting price of $9900. MK15 Rebreather w/Hammerhead & *TWO* sets of spheres - (eBay item 200187758187 end time Jan-04-08 12:48:11 PST) I have received many PM's on Rebreather World and Ebay asking if I would be willing to sell a set of spheres seperately, so I figured I would make an offer to anyone looking for spheres (hear me out here): I am willing to sell both sets of spheres for $9900 and as a free gift provide, a fully functional MK15 without shperes that you could dive, use for spare parts, or give as a gift to that special someone. (shipping not included on the free gift .)The way that I see it, there is high demand for a spheres, and I am willing to sell my unit with only one set, both sets, or no spheres at all, but I can NOT sell any spheres before the Rebreather. *AND*, I will offer both sets to the buyer, who would be foolish not to take them. As you very well know, spheres are nearly impossible to find!! With that, I'm thinking that the probability of me being able to sell the spheres seperately, is slim to none. Sorry, but ALL IS NOT LOST! Realize that you really do have a chance to acquire a set of spheres here. The question is how bad do you want them??? I've heard people talk about what they wouldn't do to get their hands on another set of spheres, and I was made some impressive offers for the spheres this month. DO YOU REALLY, REALLY WANT A SET OF SPHERES??? Then buy my 15 with both sets, strip either set of spheres and then sell a still fully working plug-and-play MK15. You'll just need to find a buyer instead of me. Personally, I'm not too worried about finding a buyer. Someone will eventually come along looking for a 15. I'm just tired of walking around, and into, the trunk sitting in my garage!! When was the last time that you had a realistic opportunity to get your hands on another set of spheres? Think about it... Cheers |

![]() | Re: Spheres That is the same as paintball tank threads but it would be hard to find valves in that thread. With enough quantity, Faber or Worthington could make 8" diameter 8.5" tall semi round bottom DOT tanks at 3442psi. Just like cutting the middle out of a X8-119 but without the welding. You might be able to fit 3 or 4 13cf tanks in the space of the two spheres. If that is too long, there are some 3000psi 12cf tanks that are 4.4" x 10.6" with .750-16UNF threads.Unfortunatly, my MK15 is incomplete so I can't get precise measurements. |

Steam Machines used to have a bunch of Mk15 valves for sale cheap, but last I looked their web site had gone away...If that is too long, there are some 3000psi 12cf tanks that are 4.4" x 10.6" with .750-16UNF threads. There are the Luxfer: SCBA/Life Support Cylinders: Specifications L013 and L014 bottles, 5.25 diameter by 10.0 long with .750 x 16 and .625 x 18 threads as used in BMR 500 and some Lar V. Could somebody measure a Mk 15.x center section & tell me the diameter? Maybe I can find time to practice SolidWorks and see how these would mock up.-Dan

SMI's website is down at the moment. Send a mail to Shas and got a prompt reply, they still have a few valves left. All of them the smaller orifice I gather. If anyone wants to get in touch with her, the info@steammachines.com address works.
