![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | my first "real" Mk15 mod!!!! So excited... took my time, only took about 2 hours start to finish! So my off board QD hose used to poke out the bottom of the case (see white half circle in interior pic). I was about to do a slight mod and have the QD hose come out just above where the original waist strap attaches (see hole to the right of the connection to the whitey valve), but then I saw chunter's rig... CL area... nice... so here is what I did! - drilled the hole - mounted bulkhead connection - attached QD hose - formed 1/8" pipe - connected 1/8" pipe (nuts have red marks) So excited!... hoppyinca |

If you want to clean up the hose routing even more, you might want to do what I did: Run that same 1/8 inch line further up the inside of the chassis and exit it with a 90 degree fittting into the back of a manifold in the position shown in the photo. I placed (3) 3/8-24 ports in the manifold, one up, one down, and one centered and into that I can thread any second stage supply hose. Other end of the supply hoses feed Swagelok QC-4's with an adapter fitting. Makes feed hose placement easy. If you need a manifold, let me know, as they are fairly simple to make out of brass. The chrome manifold shown might also be of interest: The diluent regulator from the sphere feed the BACK of the manifold and from a second port on the back of the manifold the Whitey valve is fed so that internal diluent can be selected by the Whitey when needed. Basically this allows me to feed my suit, etc., from internal gas when needed. When diving mix I carry the mix offboard, air inboard, and the Whitey when selected to "offboard" feeds the ADV and manual add, but the *internal* diluent still feeds the drysuit, etc. You can also feed another diluent into the rig at this point. Makes it a very flexible system. Dave . |
