I have 3 sets ordered so far, anyone else interested? Hoppyinca ![]() I must recant... the Gov't has completly booked Herbert Cooper Company.... they do not have the time to add even one set of hoses... someone needs to convince the US gov't that they need the 1.25" ID or 1.5" ID hoses instead of the 1" ID!!!! bastards!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mk15X Add Ons There's all sorts of things you can add on to a Mk, take a look at the ones already out there. Every one of them has been customised, mainly because the standard layout is not suited to tech diving. Here is a list of just some things that people have changed, not necesarily because the original doesn't do the job, just because the particular owner wanted to change them: Harness/wings (no backplate please) Hoses DSV/Bailout DSV Pressure guages Dil regulator O2 regulator KISS valve Aftermarket/replacement electronics Butt-mount bailout bottle Side-of-unit bottles Offboard dil switch ADV isolation switch Oversized tubing Fancy paint job Remote electronics switch Cheers, Jason. |

Ask such a question and you will get many, many answers. The configuration that I thought I would want when I first started configuring my Mark 15.5 rebreather has changed dramatically after a few hundred hours of diving it. So as much as you want to be prepared and have your rig styled out when you first start diving, it makes little sense to think very far ahead beyond the basic safety items - bailout, electronics, valves, etc, which should be covered in your course. Put some hours in diving your rig relatively stock and the configuration you need will come together in your mind based on how you dive your rebreather. But I certainly will agree with Hoppy's suggestion on the Cooper hoses. I love my Cooper hoses. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mk15X Add Ons nope the 15.5 has bigger hoses Actually, most of "we" Mark-15 users (as opposed to 15.5) use the same hoses as 15.5/16, by using a hose end fitting at the center section that allows the larger hose to be used. I'll shoot photos if anyone cares to see them. My Cooper hoses are the same ones that would be used on a 15.5 Stu has been promising a Mark-15x forum here to me for WEEKS!!! Hey Stu! I've got a dozen Mark-15 threads to start (including how to add a th cell to the inside of the center section) and am holding them for now pending the right place to post. Help! Dave Dave
