| Dude ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting the Sport KISS Ready to Dive! Great article, thanks Sue! Something I do differently - I dont disconnect the bail out valve hose at the red pod end like you do. I disconnect it at the DSV end and when I put it on it is just finger tight so that it can be disconnected without any tools. Benefit of this is that the end that gets disconnected and reconnected all the time is actually visible and you can see if there are any consequential leaks underwater. One of the things I also look out for is to ensure the CL bags are not trapped between the box and the scrubber. It can be tricky to get it in straight without trapping material. cheers Andy

| Rebreather World Writer ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting the Sport KISS Ready to Dive! Thanks for your feedback Andy. I forgot to write in the article that I had a flux restrictor at the DSV. You can see it in the mouthpiece picture, just below my index finger. I usually had it closed during the dive, and in case I needed to switch to OC, I opened it before switching. This way I prevented all leaks in there. And yes, sometimes it's a tough job to put the counterlungs in the case. I used to check from below the box if they were nicely inside. Cheers Sue |

| Curmudgeon ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting the Sport KISS Ready to Dive! Nicely done, Sue I dive with a NAN frame. The handle prevents turning the pods, so I put on the pods Before putting the cannister in the case. The counterlungs are very easy to catch, so I pull them from the bottom to make sure the edges are free. Also, don't forget to set the baffle on the case. I didn't notice any pressure gauges on your rig, FWIW I have mine installed with swivels and have them clipped off at each hip to my d rings.

It's nice to read about other configurations and set-ups! babar: I had a pressure gauge for each cylinder. On the last picture you can see the O2 one, attached to the injector. Diluent one was, as yours, with a swivel and attached to the harness D-ring. Sue |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting the Sport KISS Ready to Dive! Good article Sue, beautifully easy, isn't it. ![]() Having just finished my training with Alan, the connector pods are now secured as shown below. With both pods secured in this manner the little tether isn't used anymore, and this method prevents both the red pods from turning as well as the scrubber from popping out. ![]() If I understood him correctly new units are now delivered like this.
