| Classic KISSer Current Rebreather/s: | I can't find the info, which is somewhere, however I need to do some mainenance on my displays after one developed a leak on my last dive... The leak was obvious as there was moisture on the inside of the faceplate. So far, I have:
on the board, it felt as if one of the faceplate screws had worked loose allowing some moisture in. I need to ensure all traces of salt water are gone, but have questions. 1. Can I soak the display as well as the board in metho (methylated spirits) to clean out water and salts? 2. Any tips on conformal coatings? I have a can of aerosol ready to go... 3. What have I forgotten and need to know? TIA! Andy

| Póg mo thóin Current Rebreather/s: | Re: CK display maintenance Andy, Leave them in the airing cuboard for a couple of days, clean the board with acetone and cotton buds to remove any surface contanimants then spray the boards with ACF50 which helps to guard against moisture problems. Louis |

| Classic KISSer Current Rebreather/s: | Re: CK display maintenance Thanks mate! That worked well. The suspect display was rading a crazy number while disconnected, and after some careful cleaning 'n' airing, it went back to it's happy -0.00. conformal coating is on, and the whole lot ready for action tomorrow! ![]()
