| John Routley ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | hi every one, a few weeks back janos got me thinking about the off board gas problems for the kiss and he surgested my remote inflator for the inspo might do the job http://www.narkedat90.co.uk/41.html and i think it would make gas adition much easier but my quesgen is, would you want it if i develop it? and if so would you want the gas to be feed in to the counter lung via a p-port or directly in to the manifold(if theres room that is)?? kindest regards john routley

| I use John's remote add on my Inspo & have found it very easy to plug off boards to ,even underwater at 40 metres .Mine only feeds into the normal manual inflater point in the counter lung . just my 2c worth . ![]()

| Re: Off Board Plug And Play I don't currently feel a need for one. If I did I wouldn't want to start cutting counterlungs as it makes it harder to swap them out. Can't see that you could use the manifold as this is at the dil 1st stage IP. One answer for the classic would be the old/spare O2 add port, but mine is already in use anyway. An adaptor at the scrubber end of a breathing hose to allow a feed would be possible and portable between rebreathers. Neil

| Re: Off Board Plug And Play Or there's always this. Standard LP scuba hose and fittings so could be swapped to a hose from a stage cylinder. Currently Andy has his feeding into the left side O2 port in the head (unused on newer CKs), still wondering if I want to go the same way ... ![]() |

Could you perhaps make up another plate that the sensor holder screws into, but a bit thicker and stronger, and have a 90 degree hose QD? That way the dil will go right into the inhale hose. Dave |

| Re: Off Board Plug And Play I am still half-thinking about it. There is no need for me at the moment (it is still practical for me to take a "siege" attitude towards bailout) but maybe something for the future. I don't like the idea of adding it into the manifold, as if you have something like this then you need to practice using it, and if you practice using it you will get small amounts of water from the QC into the manifold and then the ADV and the DSV. I think that the spare O2 add port is by far the most sensible place (for me at least). However, are the bits available through Swagelok? Could you not get an NPT elbow, hoses, QC, and even a button (I presume Swagelok do just a simple add button - I could be wrong though). Janos
