| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Has anyone... ...thought about the distance between the lower part of the scrubber and the case might be a problem? I mean, if enough weight is put on it when laying down (say someone falls on it) it might damage the unit? I put 2 pieces of plastic (similar to the ones between the head and case) to minimize the movement, the only problem is now that you canīt really "rock" the scrubber in place, instead you have to screw it into place. Does anyone think this could create a problem with the orings or anything elses? Has anyone tried the same solution? |

| Re: Has anyone... Hi! I had a simular solution on my KISS..... I had a "cannistershaped" piece of delrin between the CL-box and the scrubber to make it more stable.....also han a metalring attached to it the clipped around the scrubber.... Jens Albinsson came up with the idea and built it so talk to him and he can sort you out if interested... /Rodge

| Re: Has anyone... hi i had the same thoughts as you when i first got my ck ,and i found the solution in a 7 ltr tank boot .I just cut it down by about half and put it on ,this stops the wobble of the scrubber ,and saves the base of the scrubber from damage . It seemed to be the simplest answer and kept with the kiss mentality cheers Ray |

| Re: Has anyone... Now that is a good idea. Was it any particular make of boot. I think that the plastic type ones maybe a bit hard to cut down so I expect you used a rubber one. Was it a boot for an ali cylinder or a steel one with a rounded inside ? Peter

More to stop the screws holding the scrubber head to the CL case loosening than anything, does everyone get this too?I put 2 pieces of plastic (similar to the ones between the head and case) to minimize the movement, the only problem is now that you canīt really "rock" the scrubber in place, instead you have to screw it into place. | Re: Has anyone... I think I will try the boots off my 7 litre stage bottles to see which fits best and then replace that with another.
