Kiss weighting Well I got playing around in the garage again after Steeve and I finished making the SS spline. Here is what I came up with and thought there must be a better way to add weight to the Kiss. I like what I came up with since you could cut off some of the lead to help trim the unit, not as clean looking as the SS spline but a lot less work and worked out to 12lbs. Let me know what you think. My mould was a 1"x1" channel I cut down to 1"x3/4". Scott

Re: Kiss weighting I also have a 12lbs backplate on mine, just trying to get the weight I need on the unit since I am really against weight belts. Not really sure how much weight I will require untill my course on the 20th. Scott

Re: Kiss weighting I'm a bit intrigued as to why you need so much weight? Last weekend with drysuit and Weezle, steel OMS backplate (6lb), 7litre stage and Salvo torch with 9Ah battery pack, I had two kilos on the weightbelt and Natasha had none. Maybe we're just dense! ![]() Stainless steel spine is a nice idea though ...

Re: Kiss weighting Nice job Scott. As you know I'm pretty happy with my SS spine replacement, but what you did should work just as well. Not quite as shiny though. I feel the same about the weight belt and do not wear one. I find that having some weight down there really throws off my trim, not to mention that I don't ever have to worry about dropping it, especially on dives requiring significant deco (this would make for a bad day). At the time, I had assumed that it was made of SS. The shiny reflection must have had something to do with that.http://www.rebreatherworld.com/photo...hoto/860/cat/4 Best Philippe Il faudrait que j'examine de plus pres la prochaine fois. Andre
