Re: Am I the only KISS diver who doesn't remember his unit number?

He he. CK#21. Oldie but a goodie. All the best units happened in the early days. When everything was made of metal and delrin, and Sherwood DSVs were the norm, none of this Paragon business.

Do we have a list posted somewhere with serial numbers and owners? I know Kim has a list but they aren't going to release it for confidentiality reasons obviously.

Could stick it up in a back-room somewhere so we know who's got which one couldn't we?

Unfortunately, my CK #007 is sold to UK and SK #007 to Belgium. The only Jetsam product #007 I still have left is the booster pump...
I know .... and btw it's the Netherlands these days for the SK.
It really is a Bond gadget isn't it? (allthough he had a far smaller design) BTW I left your stickers on the box. It really makes the box stand out from other SK's....

Do YBOD users have the same sort of thing, or is it too difficult to remember figures in the '000s??

There's no pride in diving a YBOD, they're so common the numbers become meaningless.

YBOD users just have the universal nod as far as I've seen, like people who drive VW campers. They acknowledge each other, but there are so many of them it would be silly to go and talk to everyone you see.

One less than me. I'm 211.

It's always amusing when it comes to insurance renewal time. "And do you know the serial number for your unit sir?" "Yes: It's 2-1-1"

They pause, waiting for the other numbers and sound a little surprised when that's it!

Do you mean the first 10 units sold, or the first 10 serial numbers? AIUI Gordon's first production batch was around 30 CKs, but they weren't sold in numerical order and I know #008-011 (or was it 9-12) were sold after Digger's #21.

I might be being a bit pedantic but what's the point? Why does anyone need to know? The only benefit I can see is buying/selling a 2nd hand unit but I think the community is small enough that we all know if someone is doing a scam. And I'm sure that it's easily verified with Jetsam anyway.
