| Kiss...is it a modified Draeger? I have heard from many people describe the Sport Kiss as basically a modified Draeger....is there any truth to this?

Can someone please elaborate as to why this rumor came about? what are the similarities of the two units? Im not tryin to be stupid...but there must be a reason this concept is being passed around. Thank you

| Ladies bring a plate Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Kiss...is it a modified Draeger? Some people refer to backyard modified Dolphins as KISS rebreathers due to the liberal misuse of the term ‘KISS CCR’ to cover anything that has needle valve attached to it through to an actual Jetsam KISS Rebreather. This could be where the confusion comes from.

You're hanging with the wrong crowd. ![]() Quote: what are the similarities of the two units? They both have:- cmf valve (but they are different) - DSV (but they are different) - scrubber (but they are different) - rearmounted counterlungs (but they are different) - case to hold the scrubber and CL (but they are different)

| Silent diver ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Kiss...is it a modified Draeger? Hi, Perhaps because they exist many Draeger modified using system KISS, but this does not render them absolutely similar. Regards Aldo

| Johnny The Hatch Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Kiss...is it a modified Draeger? [quote=h2ophotopro]Can someone please elaborate as to why this rumor came about?[quote] Well one reason i can think of is that both have similar ways of adding a gas into the loop, though the SK adds O2 and the Dräger adds EANx. But then the similarities stop. Not even the addition is the except for the constant flow. They will both add the gas constantly but after that the KISS is designed to add the minimum amount of O2 that you will need and then you add the rest manually, but the dräger adds more than you need and therefor you have bubbles. /Jonny
